Also, the creator of Stardew Valley- Eric Barone- announced that he will now be self-publishing the game. Eric Barone loved the Story of Seasons such a great deal that he set out to make a fitting tribute with all elements flawless, and in the process of doing so, he restored several game players' love for the farming sim games. Stardew Valley was a happy and cheerful story in every respect.
During the game's development, Barone collaborated with Chucklefish for publishing the game. Chucklefish is an independent games studio that is based in London and is popular for publishing the title Starbound.

Barone claims that he was a complete newcomer to the video games industry and Chucklefish played the position of the publisher and managed the distribution, console ports and translations for the game.

The publisher assisted him in creating and setting up the official wiki, apart from helping him in re-creating the website, to a great measure. He also appreciated Tom Coxon for doing an amazing at setting up network code for the game and making the game multiplayer in existence.

For better or worse, things have taken a turn. Barone is now ready to start on his own beginning December 17th. He added that he thinks that self-publishing is the final goal for almost all the indie game developers and he is overjoyed to be in a place where it is possible for him to self-publish.

More updates concerning the date of Stardew Valley may be rolled out soon. Chucklefish will keep on publishing the game for Switch and mobile platforms, including the forthcoming Android version. The publisher said that they are happy to have played a part in the game's story.
