dominated the industry when it came to phone displays. In an endeavor to gets
its old position back, Sony may be launching a folding smartphone with
transparent screens.
It appears that the next year

displays. Approximately all the big giants in the smartphone industry such as
Huawei, Apple, Motorola, Samsung, and LG are making preparations for launching
the folding phones in due time.
Given how the prominent
manufacturers of smartphones are preparing to come up with a foldable handheld
device to release next year, Sony has also arrived at the party.
Sources reveal that Sony also
aspires to release a foldable gadget in due time. The seemingly awesome
foldable handheld will be one of a kind and quite unique as compared to all the
other gadgets released by other brands.
The reports state that Sony had
registered for a patent way back in May 2018. This patent got published in
November 2018.
The patent uncovers that the
phones will come two, not one but two displays. Device owners can configure the
displays to run in various modes(six of them). Three modes can be configured in
the front screen and the remaining at the back. The three modes are listed
below:
- · Transparent
- · Semi-transparent
- · Non-transparent
Phone buyers shall be able to
configure any of the twin screens to the transparent mode while configuring the
other screen to non-transparent mode.
The patent additionally unveiled
an impressive mode dubbed roll-up screen. This concept has been mentioned in
the preceding patents. At the minute, there is no implication that Sony will
roll out the foldable transparent device in the next year. Still, one can't
leave out of account that the company shall deliver the handheld device to gain
an innovation advantage over its opponents.
